The GM Trust Hairathon - 11th November 2007
On Sunday 11th November 2007 , Frank and his colleagues at the Spirit hair salon on church road Hendon brought a little luxury to its' clients to raise money for the GM trust. The buzzing hair salon did back to back blowdrying, donating all proceeds to the Trust. The day started at 9am and nibbles and treats were flowing all day till the last client left at around 4.30pm raising both a tremendous awareness and an impressive £2,800.
Israel Bike Ride - October 2007
On Thursday 25th October 2007, 50 men cycled 75km in Israel to raise money for the GM trust.
Amount raised: A fantastic £50,000
The race started at the Snir Stream and ended at the Kineret. The route was fundamentally off road, the atmosphere was electric, thanks to everyone that took part in this challenging ride to raise money for this vital cause. Sixty English-speaking immigrants took a day off work to cycle 75 kilometers in the North on to raise money for research on behalf of the GM Trust.
Hydro Active Women's Walk for the GM Trust - September 2007
The 2007 Hydro Active Women's Challenge took place on Sunday 16th September in London's Hyde Park and attracted thousands of first-time and veteran runners alike. It was a distance of 5km. Avril Fleishman – Grandmother of Gavriel Rosenfeld, organised for upto 20 friends and family to take part in the event on behalf of the Gavriel Meir Trust.
UK Bike Ride - May 2007
In May 2007, 35 cyclists — each of whom had raised at least £2,500 in sponsorship — rode a 75km circuit that took them from Hendon to the M25, and back. The event raised £250,000 for research into the (as yet) incurable disease.
